Background & challenge
This is a TikTok Shop store selling high order-value products. The brand name and category are withheld by agreement.
Many store owners still think TikTok Shop is a playground for items costing a few tens of thousands of VND. With high-ticket products, the worries are very specific:
- Customers deliberate for a long time, ask many questions and decide slowly.
- Every return or bad review is costly.
- “Fun, trend-chasing” videos get views but no orders.
The store’s goal: grow GMV by getting the product in front of the right people who are ready to spend, rather than discounting to chase order volume.
Diagnosis from the data
“Last 28 days” dashboard (updated Oct 8, 2026): GMV 961,507,313 VND (+113%), customers 1,249 (+130%), SKU orders 1,585 (+102%), visitors 23,298 (+135%).
Metrics calculated from the dashboard data (the previous period is back-calculated from the %, so these are estimates):
- GMV per SKU order: about 606,600 VND. Previous period about 575,300 VND.
- GMV per customer: about 769,800 VND. Previous period about 831,300 VND.
- SKU orders per customer: about 1.27. Previous period about 1.45.
- Conversion rate: about 5.36%. Previous period about 5.48%.
- GMV per visitor: about 41,300 VND.
- Previous-period GMV: about 451 million VND. The increase is about 510 million VND.
The most notable figure is about 41,300 VND of GMV per visitor. Each person who visits the store brings in more than 41,000 VND of revenue on average. With high-ticket goods, each visit is very valuable — so traffic quality matters more than quantity.
The “bottleneck”: store health is Good but 3 metrics are below threshold, including a fast-dispatch rate of 83.45%. With high-ticket goods, customers are usually more anxious about waiting, so this metric needs to come up.
Growth strategy
The framework LDH Media applies to “high order-value” stores. No client-specific details are disclosed.
Phase 1 — Build trust on the product page
- Close-up photos and video showing material, details and true size.
- Descriptions that answer common questions in advance: warranty, returns, how to use.
- Prepare chat reply scripts for pre-purchase questions.
- Review packaging: high-ticket goods need sturdy, well-presented packaging.
Phase 2 — “Explain the value” content
- Comparison videos, usage demos and real-life experience, rather than just chasing trends.
- Choose KOCs whose audience matches the price point, prioritizing creators who review in detail.
- Send samples to KOCs selectively, and track which videos drive orders for repeat collaborations.
Phase 3 — Expand under control
- Grow traffic through ads, but track GMV per visitor, not just views.
- Add bundles or accessories to lift SKU orders per customer.
- Improve dispatch speed ahead of major campaigns.

Nearly 1 billion VND of GMV from fewer than 1,600 SKU orders. Compared with a store selling low-priced goods, there is far less packing and customer care for the same revenue.
Analysis: where the growth came from
Breaking GMV into visitors × conversion rate × GMV per customer, calculated from the dashboard data:
- Visitors: +135% — the main driver.
- Conversion rate: about −2% (almost flat, about 5.5% → 5.36%).
- GMV per customer: about −7%.
Multiplied together: 2.35 × 0.98 × 0.93 ≈ 2.13, consistent with the +113% GMV.
A closer reading:
- Traffic more than doubled while conversion held almost steady. For high-ticket goods, this is very positive. Usually, when traffic expands, conversion tends to drop sharply because it reaches many people outside the target audience.
- Value per SKU order rose about 5%, but each customer bought fewer items (about 1.27 vs. 1.45). As a result, GMV per customer fell about 7%. New customers are buying “one main item” — the opportunity is to suggest accessories or bundles.
Weak spots and how to address them:
- Fast-dispatch rate of 83.45% and 2 other metrics below threshold. The fix: keep pre-inspected stock ready, pre-pack best-selling SKUs, and fix a set handover time slot.
- Traffic dependence. When growth comes almost entirely from traffic, the store needs additional order-value levers so it does not have to keep increasing ad spend.
Lessons for store owners
- High-ticket products can sell on TikTok Shop, as long as the content explains why they are worth the money.
- Measure GMV per visitor, not just views. For high-ticket goods, 1 view from the right person is worth more than 10 views from the wrong ones.
- Maintain conversion while growing traffic by choosing KOCs and ad audiences that match the spending level.
- Suggest a second item (accessories, bundles) to raise value per customer.
- Dispatch speed is part of the premium experience. Do not keep customers waiting.
Actual results depend on the product, price, inventory, budget and platform policies. This is not a commitment to results for every client.
Is this your situation?
- Our products cost several hundred thousand VND or more, and everyone says TikTok Shop only sells cheap goods, so we hesitated.
- Videos get views, but customers ask a lot and buy little, because they deliberate for a long time before spending.
- With high-ticket goods, one return or one bad review wipes out the profit of a dozen orders.
- We did not know what kind of video would make customers trust us enough to buy, rather than just liking and scrolling past.
