Loungewear store grew GMV 235% in 28 days — and the compliance lesson that comes with speed

Background & challenge

This is a TikTok Shop store selling loungewear sets, in the fashion category. The brand name is withheld by agreement.

Loungewear is a very crowded, competitive category. Designs easily look alike and prices are easily compared. To grow, a store needs both: content distinctive enough to get noticed, and operations solid enough not to “break” as orders rise.

In 28 days, the store more than tripled its revenue. But at the same time, the Store health tile showed “1 new violation”.

So this case has two stories: where the growth came from, and why compliance has to keep pace with speed.

Diagnosis from the data

“Last 28 days” dashboard (updated Oct 8, 2026): GMV 293,337,741 VND (+235%), customers 2,400 (+175%), SKU orders 2,752 (+175%), visitors 35,953 (+149%).

Metrics calculated from the dashboard data (the previous period is back-calculated from the %, so these are estimates):

  • Conversion rate: about 6.68%. Previous period about 6.04%.
  • GMV per SKU order: about 106,600 VND. Previous period about 87,500 VND.
  • GMV per customer: about 122,200 VND. Previous period about 100,300 VND.
  • SKU orders per customer: about 1.15, almost unchanged.
  • Previous-period GMV: about 87.6 million VND. The increase is about 205.8 million VND.

The good news: GMV grew faster than the number of customers (+235% vs. +175%). This means each customer spent more, not just that there were more customers. For loungewear — a category prone to price pressure — that is a valuable signal.

The dashboard also shows the store is enrolling in the platform’s Flash Sale campaigns, an important traffic source for mass-market fashion.

The “bottleneck”: 1 new violation. The dashboard home page does not show the violation type. The platform reminds sellers to resolve it quickly so the store keeps running smoothly.

Growth strategy

The framework LDH Media applies to mass-market fashion stores that are accelerating. No client-specific details are disclosed.

Phase 1 — Clean up the base before growing

  1. Review every product page: real photos, material descriptions, clear size charts.
  2. Check whether wording in titles and descriptions violates content policies.
  3. Agree on imagery standards for homewear try-on videos, avoiding visuals that are likely to be flagged.
  4. Check Account Health daily during periods of rising orders.

Phase 2 — Distinctive content

  1. Try-on videos in real situations: at home, a quick trip to the market, sleeping — so customers can picture it.
  2. Book mass-market fashion KOCs, with a brief that clearly states what must not be said or filmed.
  3. Use the platform’s Flash Sale campaigns for SKUs with a good enough margin.

Phase 3 — Raise order value

  1. Bundles of 2–3 sets with pre-matched colors.
  2. Order-threshold vouchers that encourage buying a second set.
  3. Measure GMV per customer every week to see which bundles actually work.

Analysis: where the growth came from

Breaking GMV into visitors × conversion rate × GMV per customer, calculated from the dashboard data:

  • Visitors: +149%.
  • Conversion rate: about +10%.
  • GMV per customer: about +22%.

Multiplied together: 2.49 × 1.10 × 1.22 ≈ 3.35, consistent with the +235% GMV.

All 3 levers grew. Traffic was the largest part, but the notable part is that order value rose about 22% while items per customer stayed almost the same. In other words, customers chose higher-priced designs within the store’s range — not buying more items.

Weak spots and how to address them — violations while accelerating:

Why do violations so often appear just as a store grows fast?

  • Products are listed in a hurry, with descriptions or photos not carefully checked.
  • Many new videos from many people (KOCs, staff), making content hard to control.
  • As orders rise, order processing and customer replies tend to slow down.

How LDH Media handles it:

  1. Open the violation details immediately in Account Health, and read the exact violation type and resolution deadline.
  2. Fix the root cause, not just the flagged product: review similar products and videos.
  3. Appeal with evidence if the violation seems incorrect, following the platform’s process.
  4. Write a content checklist for KOCs and video editors so it does not happen again.

Without resolving violations, the 235% growth may only be a short spike. Handled well, it becomes the base for further growth.

Lessons for store owners

  • When accelerating, check Account Health more often. Daily during periods of strong order growth.
  • Homewear fashion needs clear imagery standards for both the store’s own videos and KOC videos.
  • Read GMV per customer, not just order count. Customers spending more is a sign that product and content are on track.
  • Selective bundles and Flash Sales help grow orders without eroding profit.
  • A small violation fixed immediately is always far easier than letting issues pile up.

Actual results depend on the product, price, inventory, budget and platform policies. This is not a commitment to results for every client.

Is this your situation?

  • Our loungewear store sold steadily and we wanted to break out, but designs look alike and it is hard to stand out among thousands of similar stores.
  • When orders rose we rushed, listing products hastily without careful descriptions and photos.
  • Suddenly a violation notice appeared in Seller Center; we did not know what was wrong and feared products would be blocked.
  • Try-on videos of homewear easily get flagged for imagery if you do not know the rules.
