Background & challenge
This is a TikTok Shop store starting from a low base. The brand name and category are withheld by agreement.
Before this period, the store had visitors but very few buyers. Back-calculating from the dashboard, 28 days earlier the store had only about 212 customers and about 36.7 million VND in GMV.
This is the situation for a great many new stores: they have products, a store page, a few videos — but no “machine” yet for turning viewers into buyers.
Goal: find the biggest bottleneck and clear it first, instead of spreading effort across everything at once.
Diagnosis from the data
“Last 28 days” dashboard (updated Oct 8, 2026): GMV 281,486,834 VND (+667%), customers 1,583 (+647%), SKU orders 1,864 (+646%), visitors 91,397 (+229%).
Metrics calculated from the dashboard data (the previous period is back-calculated from the %, so these are estimates):
- Previous-period GMV: about 36.7 million VND. The increase is about 244.8 million VND — GMV grew about 7.7x.
- Previous-period visitors: about 27,800. Previous-period customers: about 212.
- Conversion rate: about 0.76% in the previous period, about 1.73% this period.
- GMV per customer: about 177,800 VND. Previous period about 173,200 VND.
- GMV per SKU order: about 151,000 VND.
The most important diagnosis: 28 days earlier, the store was not short of viewers — it was short of buyers. Nearly 28,000 visits with conversion under 1%. The bottleneck was in turning viewers into buyers.
Store health is Good, with 2 metrics below threshold, including a fast-delivery rate of 81.02%.
Growth strategy
The framework LDH Media applies to “has traffic, no orders yet” stores. No client-specific details are disclosed.
Phase 1 — Fix the store foundation
- Review the catalog: keep product groups with sales potential, hide SKUs that create noise.
- Redo the main images, titles and descriptions for core products.
- Set sensible prices, vouchers and promotions right on the product page.
- Check shipping settings and order preparation time.
Phase 2 — Activate conversion
- “Reason to buy” videos: demos, comparisons, answers to common questions — instead of generic introductions.
- Open affiliate and send samples to suitable KOCs to get more videos from real users.
- Tag the right product in each video and measure which videos drive orders.
Phase 3 — Expand traffic
- Only once conversion is stable, grow viewers through ads and KOCs.
- Replicate the video formats that are driving orders.
- Standardize packing to keep up with rising orders.
This order is deliberate: fix conversion first, grow traffic second. Pouring more traffic into a page that converts under 1% wastes money.

Analysis: where the growth came from
Breaking GMV into visitors × conversion rate × GMV per customer, calculated from the dashboard data:
- Visitors: +229% (about 3.3x).
- Conversion rate: about +127% (about 2.3x).
- GMV per customer: about +3%.
Multiplied together: 3.29 × 2.27 × 1.03 ≈ 7.7, consistent with the +667% GMV.
Three takeaways:
- Doubled conversion is the “difference-maker”. A 3.3x traffic increase is already good, but had conversion stayed at 0.76%, GMV would have grown only about 3.4x (estimate). The rest came from viewers buying more.
- Order value held almost steady. The store grew without deep discounts.
- The percentage is large because the base was low. The +667% is accurate on the dashboard, but it should be read alongside the absolute figure: 281 million VND per 28 days. The store is still at an early stage.
Weak spots and how to address them:
- Conversion of about 1.73% is still low. It has doubled from the previous period, but there is still room. The next priority is optimizing the most-viewed product pages.
- Fast-delivery rate of 81.02% is below threshold. When orders grow nearly 7.5x in one period, packing easily falls short. A fixed packing and handover process is needed before growing further.
- Risk of depending on a few videos. New stores often have a few videos “carrying” revenue. Content volume needs to grow steadily.
Lessons for store owners
- Viewers but no orders: fix conversion first. Do not rush to pour in more ad money.
- Calculate conversion rate yourself: customers ÷ visitors. Below 1% signals that the product page or content is not yet convincing.
- Videos must answer “why should I buy”, not just “what is the product”.
- Read the % growth together with the absolute figure, especially when starting from a low base.
- Prepare packing before orders rise, so you do not lose the Good store health status.
Actual results depend on the product, price, inventory, budget and platform policies. This is not a commitment to results for every client.
Is this your situation?
- The store had been open for a while and people did visit, but there were only a few hundred scattered orders a month.
- We tried posting videos and offering discounts, but revenue stayed flat, and we began to doubt TikTok Shop was right for us.
- We did not know whether the problem lay in the product, the store page or the content.
- If orders suddenly surged, we feared we could not pack in time and would ship late.
